I was in a Tournament on TOHO yesterday and drew Clay Dyer as a Pro. For those of you that remember back four years ago, ESPN did a 15 min. piece on him. Clay over came his handicap to compete with the Big Boys on the FLW and B.A.S.S. series for the past nine years. For those of you that don't know Clay, he is the Professional Angler without any arms or legs. I witness some very special technique's ie. to tie a knot with his teeth, pitch'n in heavy cover and casting cranks, blades and jigs as good as anyone. After a short time I didn't even notice that he had any disabilities. He had better mechanical skills than many guys I've fish with (Not you Hootis...your one of a kind)lol It was a real pleasure meeting and getting to know this special person and to see how anyone with a positive attitude and desire can do anything they set their minds to. Although the fishing was tough and he didn't make the cut...he is a Champion everytime he goes out and will forever be an inspiration to me. Check out his site at> www.claydyerfishing.com
