Glad to hear you are doing it again in 2009. As I told Rick, I heard nothing but good things about the tournament and how it was ran.
Hope to avoid schedule conflicts and be involved in 09.

I'll be there also . I'm also very interested in the MBFA series . I see he has the dates posted but no lakes . Hopefully there are some around the Brainerd area . I think that will replace the B. A . S. S series very nicelly . Won't have the $5000 payback , but for 50 boats you look at the payback its not bad at all . Plus there is AOY money at the end + a chance to move on . I like it . I hope it gets off the ground this year . I think Rick is a pretty darn good tournament director ,so it should be a good season.

Jim,
I don't care what anyone says about you, I like the way you think!

Rick, you have probably already thought about this, but just in case wanted to throw something out there.
Last year I think you had a fair amount of time of off limits. If I recall using the same formula, that might conflict with Soukups Skeeter Tournament, which is one weekend later than usual this year.
If you have 2 weeks of off limits, that will present a problem for several people, narrowing the choice down to one or the other to fish.
If I may suggest starting off limits on the Saturday (of the last day for the Skeeter) at sunset. That way those who want to fish both tournaments can.
Probably already thought of this potential problem, but wanted to throw it out there just in case.

If I may, I suggest either getting rid of the off limits all together or at least let the guys prefish the weekend before. I realize this may be the only week some guys take off for fishing for the year. For others though having to take a full week of to prefish isn't possible for many reasons. With 6 weeks of out state tournaments on the books for myself ( yes I know it's a personal choice) if I don't have to take a week off to fish a local tournament is a big relief. I also believe it would help add anglers that can't take a week off that could come up on the weekend and still get back to work for 3 days before the tournament. That's my two cents, in this economy maybe only 1 1/2 cents anyway.

Bill/Brian,
Thanks for the input. Both issues are currently on the table for discussion.
