In light of ABA's decision to combine the MN and WI divisions and move all of the events to the River, I am planning on reviving the MFBA Series. Here is a link to the details for the structure and payouts: www.mnbass.org/pressrelease091508.htm Payouts equate to 1 in 5, 85% paid back in cash at each event, 7.5% to AOY pot and 7.5% to the MFBA. Top 3 boaters and non-boaters in AOY standings qualify for 2010 TBF Northern Divisional Championship. What I need is to know if this appeals to you and if so, what lakes/rivers would you like to go to? There would be 4 tournaments (1 in June, July, August and September) with no TOC. AOY money would be paid out after the last tournament. I don't want to spend the money on permits if anglers aren't interested, so let me hear from you. Permit deadline is 9/26, so I don't have much time to pull this together. Let me know your thoughts. Rick

Rick ,
Sounds very good to me . I think you could do well if you spread the tournaments throughout the state . Leech , Green in Spicer , Minnetonka , Pokegama , Vermillion , Gull or Whitefish just to name a few .
I know permits are due soon , is there any way to get ahold of some of the other tournament directors and coordinate with theso schedules dont overlap . Maybe you and Joel should get together and lay your schedules out .

I would be in...
Lake choices that tackleman listed sound great, spread them out so we have some great lakes that meet the majorities interest.
Thanks for taking the lead and hopefully making this a reality.

Rick - fishwrench.com and Excel bass pretty much share the same forum users, but there are a few uniques out on FW. Feel free to post out there to get more attention - www.fishwrench.com. Whitefish Chain or Prior Lake...I'd be in. Other lakes within an hour of the Twin Cities and I'd be in.

Dates are set. Currently evaluating 10-12 lakes/rivers for weigh in sites and meeting locations.
Hope to have everything nailed down by the end of the month.
