;D One of the hottest baits the past couple of years possible the last half dozen years has been the swim jig. This is an extremely effective and easy lure to use. It's basic use is the same as spinnerbait but it will do so much more. You can also use it as a buzz bait and even throw it in the slop like a moss boss. This is what makes this such a versitile bait. Now not all jigs or so called swim jigs are made for swimming. Hook size, head design, and hook eye angle are all very critical. By far with out a doubt the Outkast Tackle swim jig is the best over all swim jig on the market. Now this year they will have 4 sizes, (1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2). Fishing these baits are done best on braided line with a 7' rod and high speed retrieve reel. The set up I prefer is a Shimano Curado D 7:1 reel with a 7' compre med/hvy rod. Put an swim jig to work for you this year and put more fish in the boat.
